Here is a list of all the lovely people behind this co-op blog that bring you articles and draw you into their crafting lives here on the Fiber Artists Guild blog. You can connect with all the folks listed here in our facebook group! (you can find the facebook group by hitting the little hyperlink titled "facebook guild" on the home page of the blog. Thanks for knitting and Happy Crafting!

Hello all who are reading this blog! This blog is a co-operative project between a small group of diverse and yet similar contributors who do all things fiber! It will feature articles pertaining to knitting, crochet, spinning, dyeing, weaving, and other crafts!
This blog is married to a small group on facebook you can find here!  https://www.facebook.com/groups/1478970819002094/

This group and this blog is in a sort of "beta" status right now. we are testing it to see how it will work, if it will be received well, and to get all the little details ironed out before it will be open to more people. This also means that we are putting a limit of 40 people to the group just so that we have a tighter knit group of people who can share our opinions of how we want to see this whole operation run!

Frank George & the Team

Frank George:

I will introduce myself in this first post and there will be other small posts from the other contributors (the ones set in stone right now) that you can find on the "contributors" page.

My name is Frank, I am 15 years old. I have been knitting for about 3 years, and also crocheting for about 2. Recently (in December) I picked up spinning and I love it! I have a Merlin Tree Road Bug wheel. It is double treadle, and I named her "Betsy".

In February-March, I bought a beginner's dye kit from my LYS and began dyeing a whole bunch of handspun white merino wool that I did for the Ravelinic games this year. I love dyeing with a passion but do not do it a whole lot because I can't always buy fiber to dye.

I recently knit my first sweater, a baby pullover, and I also knit socks, hats, and many other things.

I dabble in weaving, I have a 24" Ahsford Rigid Heddle Loom that I enjoy using, but rarely because with my knowledge, I can only do big weaving projects like rectangle shawls.

When I am not crafting, I spend time reading, writing fiction and poetry, singing, working on school to become a Literature teacher, and attending my awesome church and youth group.

Thank you all for reading and I can't wait to get to know you all more! let us know what you think of the idea of this co-op by leaving a comment in the "Feedback" segment.
Happy crafting and god bless!
